## What it calculates

Our standard calculator online works just like the standard calculator on iPhone: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with the correct order of operations, percent, sign change, and a repeat “=” that redoes the last operation. You can type on your computer keyboard too: digits, the + − * / signs, Enter and Backspace all work as buttons.

In the Calcie app, the standard calculator keeps a history of your last fifty calculations and comes with 238 themes, from kittens to neon. It's free and works offline.

## How to use it

1. Type your problem on the keypad. The whole expression is visible at the top.
2. Tap “=” to get the result.
3. Made a mistake? Swipe across the display to erase a digit.
4. To get back to an earlier calculation, open the history, the clock icon at the top left.

**Is this mode free?**

Yes, the standard calculator is free and works with all the free themes.

**How many calculations does the history keep?**

The last fifty. Only you can see the history. It's stored on your device.

**How is Calcie better than the standard calculator?**

It calculates the same way, with the correct order of operations and percentages, but it looks the way you like: 238 themes with their own buttons, font and sound. Plus a calculation history, which the standard iPhone calculator doesn't have, and twenty more modes at your fingertips.

**Does the “Standard” mode work offline?**

Yes. Calcie does all its math right on your device, so the mode works on a plane, on the subway and out of town. Nothing is sent to any server, and the answer appears instantly.

**Is “Standard” available on iPad and Mac?**

Yes. On iPad the mode has its own layout with larger fields, and on a Mac with Apple Silicon Calcie runs in its iPad version and works from the keyboard. Your Premium purchase applies on every device signed in with your Apple ID.

**How do I switch to the “Standard” mode?**

Open the modes menu, the icon at the top left of the calculator's main screen, and choose “Standard”. Calcie remembers your choice: next time the app opens right in that mode.
