What it calculates

Our unit price calculator online compares up to four products by price per kilogram, liter, item or 100 grams, and shows which package is the better deal and how much more the others cost.

It comes in handy in a store, when the bigger package costs more than the smaller one, and promotions and different sizes make the real price hard to see.

  • Up to four products: price and quantity
  • Units: items, grams, kilograms, milliliters, liters
  • Price per 1 or per 100 units
  • The best deal is marked, and the others show how many percent more they cost

How to use it

  1. Choose a unit.
  2. Enter the price and quantity of the first product.
  3. Add a second one (and more if you need).
  4. See which is the better deal.

Example

3.20 for 500 g vs 4.50 for 750 g= the second package is the better deal

FAQ

Is the bigger package always the better deal?

No, sometimes it's the other way around, which is why it's worth comparing.

Can I compare kilograms and grams?

There's one unit for all products, so convert the weight first, for example 1.5 kg = 1,500 g.

How do I compare items sold by the piece and by the pack?

Choose the “pcs” unit and enter the price and the number of pieces in each pack. Calcie shows the price per piece and marks the best deal.

Does the “Unit Price” mode work offline?

Yes. Calcie does all its math right on your device, so the mode works on a plane, on the subway and out of town. Nothing is sent to any server, and the answer appears instantly.

Is “Unit Price” available on iPad and Mac?

Yes. On iPad the mode has its own layout with larger fields, and on a Mac with Apple Silicon Calcie runs in its iPad version and works from the keyboard. Your Premium purchase applies on every device signed in with your Apple ID.

How do I switch to the “Unit Price” mode?

Open the modes menu, the icon at the top left of the calculator's main screen, and choose “Unit Price”. Calcie remembers your choice: next time the app opens right in that mode.
